The Sales Manager, East Region , leads and supervises a group of Account Managers with a finished lubricants portfolio of marketer/distributor accounts. The position has accountability for meeting annual profitability and volumetric goals. Additionally, the position has responsibility for hiring, training, coaching, and developing talent, along with effectively managing customer relationships and oversight of company assets.
*This position can be located in Houston, Texas OR other Eastern USA states.
Responsibilities May Include
Managing costs and deliver on EBITDA results across the marketer channels.
Developing and implementing sales strategies in support of regional targets.
Effectively managing contract and customer complexities across different channels of trade.
Assisting in the development and execution of brand programs and marketing strategies with key stakeholders to grow sales opportunities.
Providing expert guidance and market intelligence related to finished lubricants pricing strategies and tactics.
Actively engaging in continuous improvement and adoption of sales processes and tools in support of sales effectiveness and efficiency.
Coaching and developing employees in service of building sales bench strength with a focus on selling skills like negotiations, objection-handling, and opportunity management.
Engaging with regional sales teams, operations, and supply chain to ensure alignment with strategies.
Working effectively with internal departments to enable divisional and corporate growth and efficiencies.
Ensuring compliance with corporate standards and policies.

Three or more years of experience in a front-line sales role
Has held at least one position where influence management, conflict resolution and the ability to lead were critical to meeting performance expectations
Previous supervisory experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in realizing growth objectives and effective teamwork
Strong results-oriented drive and ability to multi-task
Excellent communication skills, verbal and writing, that allow effective communication across the organization and with senior managers
Strong coaching ability and comfortable in the role of a coach
Demonstrated willingness to challenge status quo with sound ideas that lead to performance improvement
Ability to quickly grasp problem situations and take initiative to get the right people together to work on issues
