Description
Phillips 66 is implementing a multi-year effort to improve the mechanical integrity program across all refining sites. Key aspects are Inspection Data Management System (IDMS) standardization, systemization, circuitization, Corrosion Control Document (CCD), and Risk-Based Inspection (RBI). The RBI Engineer serves as a technical resource and provides oversight for the implementation of RBI at the sites.
Position will be based in Houston, TX or one of our multiple refinery locations nationwide.
Responsibilities May Include
Assist RBI Lead in delivering the project to all Phillips 66 refining sites.
Responsible for ensuring RBI deliverables comply with Phillips 66 Required Standards and best practices.
Responsible for RBI module configuration and supporting data load activities / results.
Responsible for QA review process and ensuring implementation contractors resolve QA findings.
Travel to sites to represent project team at Risk Review meetings, Corrosion Review and Inspection Planning meetings.
Train and mentor site personnel throughout the implementation regarding RBI methodology and use.
Assist with development of foundational project documents.
Position Requirements
Basic/Required:
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or related Science
5 or more years of experience in refinery materials, corrosion, inspection, fixed equipment, reliability, or maintenance engineering
2 or more years of experience with PCMS software and/or API RBI software
2 or more years of experience with API RP 581 RBI assessments, other RBI assessments, and/or process safety (PHA or LOPA) assessments
Travel up to 50%
Preferred:
API RP 580 certification
Working knowledge of damage mechanisms, fixed equipment inspection planning and turnaround/maintenance work process
Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues that could negatively impact progress of the project
Working knowledge of databases including queries, SQL scripts, import/export
