Our Midstream operations gathers, processes, transports, fractionates and markets natural gas and natural gas liquids. In addition, the segment transports crude oil and other feedstocks to our refineries and other locations, delivering refined and specialty products to market while providing storage services for crude oil and petroleum products. This segment consists of three business lines: NGL, Transportation and DCP Midstream which is comprised of owned and leased logistics assets that each provide strategic, timely and environmentally safe transfer of products through pipeline systems, terminals, and fractionation units.
As a Phillips 66 Midstream Cathodic Protection Technician Trainee New Hire you will participate in our Tech Trainee Developmental Program which assists in preparing you to assume full electrical, mechanical and maintenance responsibilities for the area to which you are assigned.
This developmental program will take 12-18 months to complete and is combined with one-on-one mentorship and direct hands-on field operations.
You will learn about Phillips 66 company and industry information while participating in one-on-one training with experienced Technicians.
Some study may be required outside of normal working hours to stay on task with completion of the program.
Trainees are responsible for ensuring that they communicate with supervisors to stay on track with the program and discuss progress or actions need to continue development.
Job assignments could be located nationwide within any of our 6 Midstream Regions.

Responsibilities may include :
Completing of annual cathodic protection surveys
Completing of rectifier and bond inspections
Evaluating and providing recommendations to mitigate corrosion control issues
Utilizing Pipeline Compliance System (PCS) software to record, monitor and evaluate CP data and
Ensuring internal Coupon Data to ensure 100 % compliance
Completing and issuing CP compliance reports
Monitoring and evaluating internal corrosion control systems
Coordinating the efforts of operation and maintenance personnel when they are providing corrosion control services
Coordinating the efforts of contractors with when they are providing corrosion control services
Coordinating the implementation of corrosion control projects
Preparing proposed budgets for corrosion control programs and track approved budgets
Participating in regulatory and corporate audits
Supporting IMP data analysis & assessments
Supporting Pipeline Integrity Programs
Participating with teams in the corrosion function regarding best practices & compliance issues
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Associates Degree in Pipeline Integrity or related Cathodic Protection or Corrosion degree with a graduation date in Fall 2019 or Spring 2020
Must be least 18 years of age
Must maintain a valid driver’s license
Must be willing to relocate nationwide to any of our 6 Midstream Regions
Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time
A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Previous internship or co-op participant in related industry
Previous internship with Phillips 66
NACE CP Level 1 Certification
