Financial Analyst ( 1 Year)

Basic Purpose/ Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Trade Accounting Supervisor, the Financial Analyst is responsible and accountable for carrying out accounting functions and financial reporting. The incumbent will play an essential part in meeting the functional and organizational goals of the business unit in a timely and organized manner, thus driving the Finance & Commercial Integration value chain proposition.
Primary Responsibilities:
Manage and carry out the day to day and period-end accounting functions and financial reporting.
Review accounting entries, accounts payable, accounts receivables, billings, revenue, and asset accounting.
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and the general integrity of the accounting function.
Liaise with trading partners and other Phillips 66 offices to ensure timely settlement.
Prepare management reports supporting the business units.
Provide support in intercompany billing and reconciliation.
Prepare monthly accounts reconciliation, monthly / quarterly internal and external reporting.
Promote strong internal controls compliance and assist with internal and external auditing as needed.
Carry out inventory tracking and valuation.
Work with other functional teams to implement process improvements in the Commercial / Finance area.
Handle ad hoc reporting requests.
Basic/Required Qualification
Degree in Accounting with minimum 5 years of post-graduate Finance/Accounting experience, gained within Energy industry will be an advantage.
Good interpersonal and communication skills and experience in dealing with people at all levels. Ability to work effectively with internal business units and external counterparties.
Good team player, ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team and be able to provide cover for other team members.
Must maintain a high level of accuracy with attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of SAP system would be advantageous
