The Technician will calibrate and inspect measurement equipment, conduct routine pipeline maintenance, eliminate and report product leaks, seeps, and spills, as well as assist with construction, maintenance and mechanical integrity projects on the pipeline. The position will maintain qualifications and record documentation in accordance with all applicable DOT and OSHA regulations to ensure compliance.

This position is located at our Sinclair facility, outside of Rawlins, WY .

Responsibilities may include :

  • Performing and providing technical support for installations, maintenance, and repairs of mechanical, electrical, and rotating equipment.
  • Performing troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, calibrations and replacement of equipment as necessary.
  • Maintaining current and accurate documentation of maintenance activities.
  • Assisting supervisors in changing technology and budget requirements.
  • Responding to emergencies and maintaining emergency response preparedness.
  • Performing troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, calibrations and replacement of equipment as necessary.
  • Performing equipment monitoring and maintenance documentation.
  • Performing planned maintenance checks and calibration and timely submits appropriate reports.
  • Minimizing downtime and unsafe conditions by performing preventative maintenance.
  • Maintaining technical and administrative records, including prints and project reports.
  • Responding to emergencies and participate in Emergency Response Training.
  • Driving teamwork throughout the area of responsibility.
  • Supervising and directing contract crews.
  • Participating in Safety Action Plans.
  • Completing and maintaining required safety/regulatory training.
  • Pursuing cost reduction opportunities.
  • Assisting in pump tear down/rebuild inspections and new pump installations.
  • Complying with all applicable DOT and OSHA regulations, and safety policies and procedures.


Basic/Required :

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Maintain a valid driver's license
  • Willingness and ability to perform and comply, with or without reasonable accommodations, with the following:
  • To climb up to 50 feet using both inclined and vertical steps/ladders

  • To lift up to 80 pounds

  • To bend, kneel, knee stand and squat up to 30 minutes at a time

  • To sit and stand for prolonged periods over 2 hours at a time according to job demands

  • To walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material on a daily basis on even and uneven terrain

  • To work outside in harsh weather conditions

  • To work alone a high percentage of the time

  • To travel up to 15% of the time

  • To work overtime on an as-needed basis

  • To wear personal protective equipment (such as fire retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection)

  • To be on call – rotating weekend coverage required

Preferred :

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Maintenance, Instrumentation or Industrial Electronics
  • 3 or more years of experience in an I&E Technician field
  • 3 or more years of experience of maintaining electrical and mechanical equipment
  • 3 or more years of experience working with electric digital and analog circuitry including drawings and schematics
  • One year of experience with the following:
  • Allen-Bradley PLC's

  • Rosemount Transmitters

  • OMNI flow computer

  • Other general pipeline equipment

  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel and Outlook and SAP
