The Maintenance Supervisor will be based at the Gulf Coast Fractionator (GCF ) and directly manages the execution of routine maintenance and projects to ensure reliable and cost-effective operation.

Responsibilities may include :

  • Supervising a team of Maintenance Techs, I/E Techs and a Planner/Scheduler whose responsibilities include:
  • Planning, coordinating, and executing routine maintenance and projects

  • Providing safety oversight for maintenance and construction work

  • Providing oversight for maintenance contractor performance and selection

  • Accountability for the cost and execution of the Maintenance budget

  • Accountability for management of the GCF warehouse
  • Supervising the Planner/Scheduler to ensure the GCF Maintenance Schedule is complete, accurate, and up to date
  • Coordinating with the Plant Supervisor and Operations to plan and schedule maintenance and project work to minimize the impact to Operations
  • Implementing strategies and tactics for manpower allocation and control
  • Leading Backlog discussions that include routine work, TA scope, and projects
  • Implementing maintenance safety practices
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and plant procedures by techs
  • Working with Engineering and Inspection to ensure related standards, policies, and procedures are fit for purpose and cost-effective
  • Effectively managing overtime and time-off for techs
  • Ensuring teams execute work according to applicable regulations, standards, policies, and procedures in an efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Ensuring teams properly document all project work
  • Working with the Region Engineering and Maintenance Coordinators to implement tools, processes and new technologies
  • Recommending training and development classes for the Techs and other personnel and ensuring the Techs complete required training
  • Ensuring incidents and near misses are appropriately investigated and resulting action items are implemented
  • Providing constructability guidance during project development and design
  • Evaluating material and service providers to ensure they provide professional quality services
  • Supporting related inspections, audits, and Emergency Response activities
  • Utilizing conflict resolution to build a high performing team of operations, crafts, engineers, and salaried maintenance
  • Providing leadership for Core Value initiatives including safety teams, incident investigations, environmental processes, and Valuing All People
  • Developing Leadership and Technical Expertise of Techs
  • Managing DOT required inspection and PMs for the site
  • Providing OQ testing for site personnel


Basic/Required :

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 7 or more years of experience in Midstream Operations and/or Refining
  • 5 or more years of field experience in mechanics, industrial maintenance or construction
  • Working knowledge of industry safe work practices, excavation and construction policies and procedures, Hazardous area classifications, and pipeline regulations
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of general maintenance processes
  • Working knowledge of the Plant Maintenance module of SAP or similar system

Preferred :

  • Associate s degree
  • 10 or more years of experience working in Midstream Operations
  • 5 or more years of experience supervising employees and contractors
  • Certifications: API, CWI, NACE, TES, Safety
