The primary role of the Supply Optimisation Manager is to ensure P66’s short and medium-term supply chain capability is optimised and consistent with the business strategy and goals.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Responsible for establishing optimum product sourcing arrangements for UK Marketing business needs

  • Responsible for negotiating and preparing economics for exchanges, purchases & cross purchases.

  • Responsible for negotiating and preparing economics for terminal throughput contracts.

  • Responsible for writing associated Group Policy Review papers

  • Proactively investigating opportunities to ensure supply resilience in all markets in which we operate

  • Establishing and maintaining a strong industry network and for providing market intelligence to sales channels.

  • Analysing and benchmarking supply network costs and for identifying opportunities for improvement.

  • Proactively contribute to strategic/Business Development initiatives

Critical Skills / Leadership Criteria

  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills - able to establish effective collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Excellent commercial, numerical and analytical skills (Sales experience preferred)

  • Strong value chain awareness and attention to detail

  • Ability to think strategically

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work within a team and to collaborate effectively across the value chain (Marketing, Refining and Commercial)

  • Legally authorised to work in the United Kingdom on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions

Phillips 66 has significant marketing operations in Europe. In the UK the business is primarily wholesale, selling fuels to distributors (some of whom are branded JET) and resellers. The fuels are either collected by customers or delivered through a contracted road tanker fleet operating out of a number of UK distribution points. In addition, Phillips 66 Limited supplies a network of approximately 330 independently owned petrol forecourts, all of which are branded JET.

Other markets served are aviation, marine and LPG. JET supplies some of the UK's growing secondary airports using owned and shared refuelling tankers and storage, and delivers to airlines through contracted refuelling operations. Marine markets are served using contracted vehicles, as is the LPG business.
