Phillips 66 Voyage Coordinator in Houston, Texas

Description

The V oyage Coordinator primarily manages vessel operations and logistics for crude and refined product deliveries to Phillips 66 refining assets and interests. The Voyage Coordinator provides the primary day-to-day interface with the Charterer, Scheduler, Terminal, Agent and Owners/operators in Phillips 66’ term chartered and spot-chartered shipping business.

Responsibilities May Include

  • Acting as the operations point of contact (24/7) for assigned equipment.

  • Preparing voyage orders and capturing details in Phillips 66 commercial systems (e.g. IMOS/others)

  • Ensure voyages are performed per Phillips 66 standards and applicable regional nuances

  • Handle vessel/cargo stowage matters, draft issues, port agency nominations and or appointments, and communications

  • Interface with Commercial schedulers, charterer, agents, terminal, vessel owners/operators and tanker brokers concerning assigned voyages

  • Engage internally with Demurrage, Vetting / Risk Management, F&PA, refineries and terminals

  • Maintain minimal exposure for Phillips 66 cargoes and assets

  • Supporting Loss Control to eliminate or minimize any impairment on cargo quality or quantity

  • Monitor bunker ROB and consumption for heating, tank cleaning and ECA zone consumption (LSFO)

  • Manage voyage costs, administration & allocation, including freight invoices, port costs, secondary costs, and T/C vessel voyage costs

  • Manage cargo document management, including Bills of lading, inspection reports and letters of indemnity

  • Coordinate vessel maintenance and dry- docking activities

  • Report weather and waterway issues to the Marine team/ S&T traders and operators

  • Helping develop and continuously improve global documentation/processes, operating requirements, metric, and systems

  • Possess a firm understanding of marine risk, exposure to marine liability and the Global Vessel Incident Reporting & Crisis Monitoring Plan

Position Requirements

Basic/Required:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of marine logistics, dispatching, and general marine transportation processes

  • Experience in operations or sailing within the Marine (tanker/ barge) industry

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and efficiently prioritize work to meet deadlines

  • Strong facilitation, planning and organizational skills

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with preference for action, accountability, and developing alternatives and solutions

  • Strong desire for personal learning and sharing of skills with others
