The Phillips 66 Commercial organization is seeking an experienced Natural Gas Trader to join a growing Power & Natural Gas trading desk. This position will play an integral role in developing and executing trade strategies, leveraging asset optionality to maximize general interest profitability.
Responsibilities May Include
Trade and manage a book of physical/financial gas positions across various markets and tenures
Maintaining accurate forward curve, price forecasts to actively monitoring position exposure and P&L
Providing an expert market point of view based on fundamental and technical data analysis
Partnering with Commercial Scheduling on all scheduling activities
Ensuring all trade activity is accurately captured, reported, and settled through close coordination with Risk, Accounting, IT and Finance.
Adhering to and ensuring compliance with all internal controls/corporate policies and external rules and regulations
Actively engaging traders and market analyst to evaluate fundamentals and cross-commodity trade opportunities
Working with stakeholders across Commercial, Midstream, Refining and other business units on identifying, evaluating, and/or optimizing emerging opportunities
Legally authorization to work in the job posting country
5 or more years of experience in a commercial/trading environment within the energy industry
2 or more years of demonstrated experience trading natural gas
Extensive working knowledge of market fundamentals and transportation/pipeline infrastructure
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field
7 or more years of experience trading power and gas products
Working knowledge and understanding of options products
Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively across a diverse group of stakeholders and
Commercially driven and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
