Phillips 66 Movement Capture Analyst in Houston, Texas

The Movement Capture Analyst supports the Commercial Operations of Phillips 66 by analyzing and entering movements associated with the purchase, sale and transfer of refined products. This role interacts closely with Commercial traders and schedulers, external customers and suppliers, and internal finance organizations.
Responsibilities May Include
Entering pipeline tickets or other custody transfer documents to record bulk purchases, sales, exchanges and inventory movements.
Ensuring all tickets and custody transfer documents meet SOX criteria for valid documentation.
Developing business acumen to confirm the physical movement fulfills contractual and scheduling requirements.
Assisting with monthly accruals.
Reconciling and resolving open items in a timely manner.
Preparing ad hoc analysis as required.
Proactively interfacing with Traders and Schedulers for issue resolution.
Developing relationships with external counterparties as a representative of Phillips 66.
Reviewing contracts needed to interpret obligations and requirements.
Identifying control gaps and process improvement opportunities and developing business cases to resolve them.
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
1 or more years of experience in a finance/accounting role
SAP experience a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build relationships and serve as a resource to both internal and external business contacts
Self-starter ability to work without direct supervision
Strong, positive attitude with good organizational skills
