The Manager, Global Logistics Business Improvement will lead a team of data analytics & systems professionals within the Phillips 66 Global Supply Chain & Logistics organization. The Global Logistics Business Improvement team ensures key systems are functional for all four primary modes of transportation (truck, rail, marine, and pipeline/terminal) covering $3.5B in total spend. The role will manage key transportation information systems (e.g., IntelliTrans and IMOS) in collaboration with IT, identify relevant metrics to monitor and improve business performance, and develop dashboards and reporting in partnership with leadership for each mode of transportation. This role will improve data visibility and accuracy, supporting the global logistics organization to better optimize spend in strategic partnership with the business units. This role will lead an organization with 9 employees, plus 8 current contractors.
Responsibilities May Include
Utilize Transportation Management Systems (e.g., IntelliTrans and IMOS) to develop proper metrics and ensure timely and accurate reporting; troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed
Oversee data integrity efforts such as master data setup and maintenance, data mapping, data validation and data cleaning
Lead process and systems improvement to improve data visibility and facilitate improved decision making with business unit leaders, including development of business cases and project planning
Partner with leaders in all four modes of transportation to identify and build out key use cases for supply chain/logistics data analytics
Ensure alignment of data analytics priorities across modes of transportation and within the global logistics business optimization group, where appropriate
Develop metrics and reporting for key uses cases such as reducing demurrage and maintaining utilization through dashboards, automated monthly reporting, etc.
Support Phillips 66 Business Transformation delivery of up to $150MM in Transportation initiatives
Support cross-functional optimization projects in collaboration with other enterprise-wide stakeholders, including Value Chain Optimization, Refining, Midstream, and other Commercial leaders
Manage large portfolio of potential initiatives, balancing time commitments, deliverables, and strategic vs tactical priorities to create maximum value for Phillips 66
Required Qualifications
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline with strong analytical emphasis
Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills to support business focused analysis and decisions
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
Strong project management skills
Proficient with SAP
Preferred Qualifications
Business aptitude to understand cross-modal logistics operations as well as key drivers of value (e.g., margin contribution of movements)
Experience with SAP S4
Experience in logistics, particularly experience with applicable Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
Previous experience leading technical/analytical teams
Proficient in Alteryx, Tableau, or other data analysis and visualization tools
