Phillips 66 Scheduler - Beaumont Terminal in Beaumont, Texas

The Scheduler - Beaumont Terminal is responsible for coordinating pipeline and terminal logistics for crude and clean products for customers of Phillips 66 Beaumont, TX Terminal. The Scheduler works internally with operations, engineering and maintenance teams and with 3rd party customers to approve and manage nominations, produce shipping schedules and facilitate customer change requests. The scheduler produces schedules and operating plans for Beaumont Control Center Staff that direct pipeline and terminal movements, align connecting carrier obligations, minimize downgrades, and mitigate system conflicts. The Beaumont Terminal Scheduler provides a high level of service to meet business and customer needs.

The Beaumont Terminal has 10 connecting carriers that deliver into and out of the facility, 75+ tanks, and multiple docks that service customers on the Sabine Neches river. Approximately 40 Million BBLs per month of crude and products flow through the facility via pipeline, marine, and rail logistics.

Responsibilities May Include

  • Developing monthly and weekly schedules for Beaumont facilities.

  • Coordinating customer receipt and delivery schedules.

  • Incorporating customer and terminal changes into Beaumont facility schedules.

  • Aligning schedules with connecting carriers.

  • Optimizing schedules to avoid outages, minimize quality issues, minimize terminal gain/loss, reduce energy consumption, and manage field resources.

  • Tracking maintenance activities and updating schedules based on facility capabilities.

  • Approving nominations for shipment.

  • Producing field and control center operational instructions.

  • Monitoring and forecasting stockholder terminal inventory.

  • Cultivating and growing strong relationships with shipping customers and connected facilities.

  • Monitoring pipeline operations to ensure schedule efficiencies.

  • Providing customer service and support.

  • Maintaining FERC shipper confidentiality requirements.

  • Communicating regularly with 3rd party shippers, refineries and terminals.

  • Identifying ticket errors and assisting in making ticket corrections.

  • Maintaining records in on-line systems and spreadsheets.

  • Providing data analysis and developing improvement recommendations.

  • Following system proration policies, tariff rules and regulations and shipper contracts.

Position Requirements


  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • Associate's degree or higher

  • Willing and able to be on call 24 hours a day for changes to schedules and emergencies

  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Outlook, and Excel

  • Willing and able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Information can be found at


  • 3 or more years of industry experience in control room operations or pipeline and/or dock scheduling

  • Strong planning, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to set, manage and meet multiple and competing priorities

  • Demonstrated customer service skills and mindset

  • Demonstrated facilitation across stakeholder groups to achieve resolution of issues and consensus
