The Mechanic/Pipefitter/Plumber, Bartlesville Facilities will provide technical expertise in the troubleshooting and repair of all types of plumbing and mechanical systems in commercial type buildings of multiple stories, as well as Plant and HVAC systems. Also repair of centrifugal and various other types of pumps. Some of the processes involved use hazardous and volatile materials under high temperature and pressure. Craftsmen are exposed to various work conditions including outside weather and elements, blowing air, heat, noise, vibration and occasionally working from heights or confined spaces. Craftsmen must follow safe work practices at all times, and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Responsibilities May Include:
Knowing and performing safe work practices including wearing Personal Protective Equipment. Troubleshooting and repair of various types of fixed and variable volume pumps and plumbing in different fluid type services
Ensuring reliable operation of commercial building Plumbing/Mechanical systems
Performing other types of mechanical repairs
Participating in facility emergency response plans
Being active and participating in a team environment to reach team goals
Performing formal and informal investigations into root cause analysis of mechanical failures; documenting findings and communicating findings to supervisor
Complying with all Company policies and procedures and all Federal, State and local regulations
Participating in Company Safety programs
Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions
High school diploma or G.E.D
Have a valid US driver’s license
Ability to read and understand process and equipment diagrams, vendor manuals, and blueprints
Five or more years of direct experience in repairing commercial building Plumbing and drain systems
Willingness to perform/comply with the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
To work overtime
To work in enclosed spaces, such as tanks and silos
To work near large, hot, high-speed machines
To climb up to 250 feet in height
To lift a minimum of 50 pounds
To work around chemicals, including acids and bases
To wear fire retardant clothing and personal protective equipment (such as steel-toe shoes, ear and eye protection)
To maintain your face daily so that a respirator/face mask can seal properly (some examples include being free of facial hair and/or clean shaven)
To work outside in harsh weather conditions
To learn computer software associated with process operations
Preferred Qualifications:
Valid State of Oklahoma Mechanical and or Plumbing license
Associate Degree or Technical/Trade School certification
Experience with steam and condensate pumping systems
Multi-craft experience, knowledge of building mechanical systems
Computer proficient with Excel, Word, SAP
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Strong customer interaction skills with experience in working with customers
