The Carpenter, Bartlesville Facilities works in the Maintenance department of the Real Estate and Facilities Services (REFS) team and is responsible for repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining various carpenter duties at Phillips 66 Bartlesville facilities. The position works regular hours during the day and is subject to callouts and mandatory overtime. The successful candidate must live within 90-minute response time of the Phillips 66 Bartlesville work locations. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
Responsibilities May Include:
Perform troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs
Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain furniture, demountable walls
Perform troubleshooting and maintain electronic access control devices
Routinely interface with contractors, vendors, and industry representatives
Required Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States without restrictions
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Valid US Driver’s License
18 years of age or older
5 or more years of experience working as a carpenter
Experience and capability with finish carpentry
Willing to cross train in other crafts, or in the operations department, in order to contribute in areas of peak demand
Willing and able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform/comply with the following:
To work overtime as needed
To work at various heights and climb ladders
To walk, kneel and squat
To work standing for a two (2) hour period
To lift a stationary weight of 40-lbs. from a floor to bench level
To respond to sound and system fault light alarms
To maintain facial hair that will accommodate a respirator mask with adequate seal
To work in harsh weather conditions
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the Maintenance, Operations, and Technical Services departments, along with a wide range of personnel from various departments and divisions
Ability to read at a level to understand written safety procedures, work procedures, work permits, instruction manuals Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in computer usage, basics including e-mail and Windows
Ability to develop and document SOP’s, best practices, and safety procedures
Willingness to continually train on new and safer methods and be familiar & be able to use new safety equipment as the industry upgrades
Motivated and thrive in an organization which is a high performance / self -directed work team
Ability to stop any work at any time there is a concern for own or coworkers’ safety
