Phillips 66 OEM Account Manager in Troy, Michigan

The OEM Account Manager is responsible for managing larger, core Phillips 66 accounts and developing new prospects in the OEM industry. This person will be accountable for achieving sales goals for assigned accounts while managing customer relationships to ensure satisfaction, and alignment with Lubricants business strategies and processes.

Responsibilities may include :

  • Implementing a customer intimate strategy to build customer relationships and increase sales
  • Developing sales opportunities with potential new customers
  • Meeting annual business plan goals for volume and profitability
  • Providing coordinated oversight of OEM account relations to include both production and after-market sales outlets
  • Developing and implementing business plans and provide guidance to management on the growth of the account and new business opportunities
  • Negotiating contract terms and conditions
  • Responsible for timely administration of contracts in accordance with BU policies & procedures including timely loading of pricing into LPS
  • Establishing and developing contacts within OEM accounts that will enable account maintenance and growth
  • Coordinating with other Phillips66 segments (CSC, Operations, R&D, Quality, Product Management, Sales & Marketing), to ensure Phillips 66 compliance with OEM supply requirements
  • Managing all key areas of account including pricing, transportation, quality, order fulfillment, and I/T enhancements
  • Scheduling, attending, and facilitating routine meetings with OEMs to maintain and grow account
  • Developing a core focus and value for health, safety, and environmental excellence, comply with all policies, and take required HSE training for performance of duties


Basic/Required :

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Willing and able to travel domestically 20%
  • 1 or more years of experience in marketing to the OEM industry
  • 1 or more years of experience demonstrating ability to analyze data, draw conclusions and manage risk
  • 2 or more years experience demonstrating the ability to positively interact with internal/external customers and establish relationships
  • Proficient with PC applications, MS office applications, and data management; able to gather and interpret data from separate systems

Preferred :

  • Communication skills: proficient in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure common understanding with multiple levels of management
  • Results oriented: experience driving results and delivering real business improvements
  • Leadership: experience leading, coaching and developing others to achieve results
  • Organizational Skills: experience prioritizing and managing multiple tasks/issues simultaneously
  • Project management: has participated in multiple projects or initiatives meeting deadlines
  • Negotiating skills: experience finding the most profitable way to complete a deal that works for both sides, while building strong, trusting relationships
  • Sound business judgment and complex problem solving capabilities
  • Previous sales experience or equivalent
  • Self motivated and able to work independently, without supervision and direction
  • Strong knowledge of Lubricants products and applications
