If you want work experience that really counts, consider a placement with Phillips 66. We are now looking for a Science student to join us for a One Year Industrial Placement in 2017, working in a fast paced industrial laboratory that supports a large industrial organisation.
If successful your time will be split between a number of possible functions and projects, each presenting their own individual challenges.
Your role will be to provide primary support within the Gas, Waters and Metals laboratories as well as being actively involved in Research and Development project work, such as method development. Utilising numerous techniques but not limited to: GLC, GCMS, ICP, AA, IC, Spectrometry. There will also be opportunities for you to present any new proposals and/or ideas to higher management.
We are looking for a student who will have completed at least their 2nd year of a related degree subject, such as Biology, Chemistry or Physics and are on course to achieve a minimum grade of 2:1.
Your time will be spent either on specific projects or working alongside our experienced Mechanical Engineers. This is a great opportunity to put your theoretical skills into practice and gain invaluable experience within a business environment.
